After being without my own vehicle for almost 4 years of living in Boston, Marc and I bit the bullet and leased a Honda Fit this afternoon, for me.  As you may know, Marc has a car, but it is stick shift, and though we have tried to live with just one car, we both realized that me learning how to drive a stick shift was NOT going to happen (especially in a traffically — not a word — volatile city like Boston), and a second car was necessary.  This has become even MORE evident since we’ve moved out to Arlington, where the public transportation is not as plentiful.

We pick up the car on Tuesday, and I will post pictures at that time, but I am so very excited.  I’m glad to have a car of my own.  I promise to be safe, Mom.  I’m just happy to have the ability for mobility, or at least the option to do my own thing.
