Restaurant Week Challenge

15Mar09

Marc and I love food.  If you know us, you know this.  Well, lucky for us, it’s Restaurant Week in Boston and the surrounding areas.  (Restaurants that participate set up a fixed-price menu, with a few options from their regular menu.  It’s three courses for about $33 per person).  We’ve got reservations at Gargoyles in Somerville for tonight and Ristorante Olivio in Arlington for Wednesday.

Just to make it a little fun, Marc and I are going to do a little Restaurant Week Challenge for ourselves.  We’re going to try to each get something different for all of our courses, and see who has made the better selection.  It’s something we usually do anyway, but now we can broadcast who made the better choice.  🙂

I’m really looking forward to Gargoyles, because I think it’s a little more adventurous/different than Ristorante Olivio, which is definitely just old world Italian.  Both are places we’ve been excited to try and they’re both really local, so we can happily stimulate the local economy.

I will report in when we return!  (I may not take pictures of our entrees, though, because I don’t want to embarrass us in the lovely, classy atmosphere of either restaurant.)

  1. Woohooo! I’m so glad you wrote about this because we hopped right online and booked ourselves two date nights! One at Oceanaire and the other at Sage. Seafood and Italian… yum!
